Why we grind instead of acid-etch

Every floor we install starts with mechanical diamond grinding, not the acid-etch prep used in most DIY kits and by some lower-cost installers. Acid etching only lightly roughens the surface and can leave a weak, inconsistent bond; diamond grinding opens the concrete's pores for a real mechanical bond that's the single biggest factor in whether a coating lasts 15–20 years or peels within a season. It's more labor up front, and it's why we quote what we quote.
